WWI commemoration - more book recommendations

Am half way through the excellent After the Final Whistle and enjoying every minute. Such an informative and moving book. I've come to learn much more about history through these sorts of tomes than any amount of 'proper' histories.

Have also just started Letters and News from the Trenches and the Home Front which I'm reading with extreme interest at the awful stuff the daily Mail printed in those days. Plus ca change?
