Follow up to yesterday's book recommendation - some photos

It was onebookwoman who put me in search of the Guernsey book, for which I'm really grateful. I haven't got many pictures of Guernsey (our visit there pre-disital camera) but I have lots of Jersey, and the evidence of occupation is everywhere.



And if you look closely at this picture you'll see evidence of three eras of conflict. Those islands have been on many a conqueror's hitlist...

That top picture is amazing. It looks like something from a retro futuristic scifi film. There's something very intriguing about it.
