I don't believe it...

As of this minute, Lessons in Love is in the top ten in its category at Amazon.com. Pictorial evidence behind the cut.

Excuse me while I swoon.

Unsurprised.

:D

Thank you. This just seems a bit unreal...

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, thank you. Am all dizzy now...

*mwah*

One day I hope to be writing that comment to a similar entry in YOUR journal.
*hugs*

Myloden, I am so happy for you! It's a great book, so I am not surprised it's doing so well!

[identity profile] the-sea-to.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah. Unlikely.

Though I did find out that Curtis Brown takes unsolicited manuscripts for representation. I'm not sure the stuff I write will find a home in the romance field, they tend to be a bit too involved and dark.

But I am really chuffed for you. Just, so excellent. :)

I am so pleased, and not a bit surprised. Go you!

[identity profile] jestana.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hooray! *throws confetti and dances* That's lovely news!

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Lots of people start in romance because it's the easiest to get into, or so I'm told. A romance author might still like it, even if it is darker - depends who they are, I guess (I, like Manuel, know nothing...)

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. You're so kind.

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you sooo much.

Was thinking of you over the weekend when I saw about the ice storm. Are you and the family OK? Did you lose power?

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it just? *blows tooter* *dances about madly*

Fortunately, in Boston we only had wind and rain, but there are a lot of people further out of the city and north into NH who are still without power. So those of us on the coast are thanking our lucky stars.

DELIGHTED but unsurprised. You are one hell of a fine writer.

[identity profile] girluknow.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
That is replete with coolness. Your family must give you a night on the town or at least cook you dinner.
Much congrats!!!!!!!

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
It must have been horrendous. The BBC said Maine got it badly, too. *brr*

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And you're too kind. Thank you for all you've done to make this happen. :)

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. Alas, no such spoiling - although two of the daughters did run round the kitchen holding book copies and squealing. :)

Is true--something like 40% of the fiction market. And the small presses (ebook to print) will publish a lot of stuff that just doesn't fit the Mills-Boone formula. Can't hurt to try...

*waits impatiently for Amazon.ca to stock your books*

[identity profile] shezzawatto.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Huzzah! Well deserved.

You just be careful, Chris. She tried this line on me... :)

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
You may have a long wiat. As LBR ships to canada, they may not appear on Amazon.ca. Chiz.

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you ma'am. :)

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I love that penguin. *steals him forever*

Thank you so much, you're such a love. (Been thinking of you a lot today - hope you're well).

Meant to tell you, I was reading Lessons in Love last night and this morning and enjoying it immensely. I have missed the dunderheads et al. *grin*

And the dunderheads have missed you.

Many thanks :)
