The kitchen at Cochrane Towers...

The old kitchen was being held together with duck tape and superglue. It has gone. Who knows when the new one will be inhabitable. At least it's plastered (as of today!)

How exciting. It is always so strange to see rooms empty-- hard to believe so much living went on in them.

I know. It looks so small - and when I look at how much came out of it I have no idea how it'll all go back.

Good luck with that! It seems so big and echo-y without all the crap in there, doesn't it?

It actually feels very small! Weird. But echo-y certainly.

Gosh. Look at that.

I know. You're just about the only person on this LJ (with the exception of [livejournal.com profile] calavarna to have seen the original!

It's just SO miserable going through a remodel. Hope everything goes well.

I recommend employing a slow cooker too. In situations like this one, and especially at this time of year, they are invaluable. That said, mine gets almost as much use as an urn for mulled wine as a casserole...

The only problem with the slow cooker is the lack of preparation areas. Our laundry room is our only source of mains water at present and that's full to bursting. Good idea though, especially in re mulled wine.
