I've another novella coming out

All very tentative at the mo, just at contract stage.

The Shade on a Fine Day - which is the working title for an Austenesque short (about 22k words) and contains a ghost - will be going into an anthology titled (at present) Among the Living, from MLR.

Charlie says "Ooh, er, missus. Ain't life amazing?"

OMG OMG OMG YAY!

More Cochrane than I can shake a stick at.

I have a stick now. I shall shake it.

Oh, congrats! Can't wait to read it! :D
*is big Austen fan*
I should think your style of writing lends itself rather well to Regency!

I love glyptodonts, which had mace-like tails. :)

Thank you!

Yay! I'll be watching for it. :)

*runs away from stick in case it turns out to be a sleeping cobra*

:)

Aw, thank you.

[identity profile] chris-smith-atr.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I picked it up on a hill last night.

Are there many cobras in surrey?

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you so much.

I hope you're right - I have to admit this was one of the more easily flowing things I've written. I just hope that the floor of Winchester cathedral isn't in a turmoil with rotating graves as we speak...

There must be some at Chessington...

Chessington WORLD OF COBRAS.

One way to tackle population control!

Hooray! I'll be looking out for it!

Congratulations! I love the title. It's very pretty.
I am surrounded by prolific writers. Don't know how you guys do it.

Hurrah for you! That's very exciting. Regency is one of my very most favorite periods, so I'm looking forward to reading it!

Ee, thank you, sweetie.

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. Will post when I have release dates, etc.

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey thanks, toots! It is exciting - my first published Regency story (and Regency era was where it all started).

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a Jane Austen quote - I wanted to use something of hers which alluded to ghosts.

This was another of those half written stories which I took out and worked over. It dates to at least 180 months ago, or at least the bare bones of it do. So, not quite so prolific.

Thank you! You get Jonny icon for being so nice. *mwah*

Yay Charlie! Congratulations. I love Austenesque. I look forward to reading it.

Thank you, my dear. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Yay!

Werewolves, ghosts, what's next? :)

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, my dear. It feels a really exciting thing to be involved with.

I had this great idea for a bloke who used to be con man but he sort of grows a conscience and then he becomes immortal and has this nice gaff in Cardiff and a jeeves type assistant and...

A Regency story with a ghost, written by you! Let me tell you, I'm so excited I have tears in my eyes. Really. I'm weird.

*twirls you around*

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm all dizzy now (even more than normal).

I pnly hope it lives up to the build up. (And yes, it is m/m...)
