My baby is 22 today

Which is really odd when I'm only 39...

;D

Happy Birthday to the "baby"! :)

Thank you. I'll pass them on. We're off for a Mexican meal tonight, snow and ice willing.

Happy Birthday 'Baby'. Mine got there last month, and I'm right with you, I'm not 40! (:-) Honest....)
Mind you mine used to go to school with twins who's mother had 3 children in school before she hit 21!

Cor. I always used to think I'd be the oldest mother at school (had my youngest at 37) - but I wasn't!

*hugs and thanks*

Funny how they catch up on you like that... Happy Birthday to the big baby!

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2013-01-22 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL I'll pass that on verbatim. The depressing thing will be later this year when young Miss "FanciesRichieGray" will turn 18!

Should someone warn Richie Gray?! XD

He'll go to France if we do! Or further. Bless her, she only comes up to about his lowest but one rib.

Child bride, obviously.

Happy birthday, baby Cochrane

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2013-01-22 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll pass that on. I'm hoping she'll be at UK Meet again!

Happy Birthday!!!!

I am dreading 18 which is coming in about 4 months. It just seems impossible.

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2013-01-22 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. My youngest turns 18 this year and she really is my 'baby'.

Thanks!

Mine are almost 15, and almost 22. I think it is like that moment when you feel a carnival ride slowing. You are still going around and around, but the speed is reducing. The particular fun of the ride is almost over.

I felt the same way when I realized nobody needed me to tie their shoe or pick them up any more. The help from then on would be given to the insides, not the bodies.

Interesting analogy to the carnival ride. I think I have more fun (usually!) than I used to as they grow older.

You don't get inveigled into tying boots? Where am I going wrong?

A very happy birthday to her!

*ponders the state of Mexican food in the U.K.*

[identity profile] charliecochrane.livejournal.com 2013-01-23 09:10 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you to the first and ersatz to the second.

I imagine so, unless there's a real Mexican mama in the kitchen. We tend to be a little snooty about our Mexican food here in what used to part of Mexico.

Belated birthday greetings to her!

Many thanks!
