I was brave. I went all the way up to London, on my own, on a train (like a big girl) and attended the RNA party, where I knew precisely one person and only said "Hello" and "Goodbye" to her.

It was cracking. Met and talked to lots of people, felt like a real writer. Still the only writer of gay fiction in the room - and had to pick up a few jaws as they hit the ground when I told them.

Will blog about this when I have some energy back, suffice to say it was interesting (and a bit embrassing) meeting aspiring writers who were desperate to get their books accepted and having to tell them that I'm only accidentally published and have been very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
