Seeing as digging up kings is the new trend, no surprise that Winchester University is in search of King Alfred. I like Winchester - there's a bit of Roman pavement you can stand on (apparently the only such bit in Britain).

Nice to see my old warhorse Lessons in Love (still my all time topselling book) is still getting reviews

And, apropos of very little, here's a song I've been listening to a lot in the car. Forgotten how much I loved it.
