Anybody here a fan of Sergeant Cribb? I am. (I still remember the wonderful Alan Dobie TV adaptation.) Well, the author of them, Peter Lovesey, will be a guest 'Dame' at our Havant gig. Coo!

Okay, one nice and one silly.

Always a pleasure when somebody 'new' runs across Jonty and Orlando. Lessons in Love - The atmosphere in this book is just fantastic...

And for the silly...

“Orlando, take off my dress.” Ariadne Peters closed her eyes and waited.

The green taffeta was of the highest quality, slipping easily off the shoulders.

“Orlando, take off my petticoat," she sighed, shaking her head.

Ridiculous item of clothing, so many ruffles and ties, like a tart’s nightie. Only harder to remove.

“Orlando, take off my bloomers.”

Such a tight fit, so snug around the figure.

“And Orlando…”

“Yes Ariadne?”

“If I catch you wearing my clothes again I'll tell the porters.”
