charlie_cochrane: (lessons for suspicious minds)
What a fabulous event it was. (Don't just take my word for it, read all about it here!)

Something that really struck me was how classy the day was. I mean, having an Oxford bod doing a wonderful talk about Dorian Gray was a real treat. Not something you could maybe do at a bigger event, but perfect for the intimate nature of the function.

I met old pals, made new friends, and shared a carriage with drunken Saints fans on the way home, Saints fans who not only sang, but asked if I had requests. I asked for Delilah, which was sung with elan, if a lack of knowledge of the lyrics. Another area where rugby fans would have done it better!
