WWI commemoration - Walter Tull
Jan. 11th, 2016 07:23 pmA couple of years back I'd arrived early for a school governors' meeting (anybody who knows my family in real life will laugh at that because we're habitually early), so I had a gander through the classroom book shelf and found this book.
It was a fascinating read, one which made me wonder why on earth I hadn't heard of Walter Tull, given that he was such a notable figure on so many fronts. His memorial at Sixfields is stunning - his strong heart does indeed still beat loudly.
