A strange and sad place...
Aug. 22nd, 2018 07:21 pmToday, for the first time, and on the recommendation of Stevie Carroll, we went to Imber.

The site is a peculiar mixture of old and battered (village was requisitioned during WWII and never returned) and new and battered (purpose built houses for practicing urban tactics while fighting the IRA).

Saddest of all were the poor abandoned tanks left to be used as targets. Although, how British to have ancient barrows surrounded by warning posts and marked with 'no bombing' signs!
