We've not been to an event since the Romsey Male Voice choir concert on February 29th, although we've had a string of cancelled/postponed events since then (obviously), including 'Skyhunters at Sunset' at the Hawk Conservancy trust. Yesterday we went to the rescheduled, Covid-safe version of that event. Plenty of social distancing and hand sanitiser, a picnic bag instead of a barbeque meal (and lovely it was) which we ate sitting on our own chairs in the picnic field - and enjoying the bonus of watching an unexpected England cricket victory via the phone.
The flying display was stunning. Vultures, a Lanner, a sea eagle, an eagle owl, black kites and - my favourite - a secretary bird which did a great job of "killing" a cobra, albeit a plastic one.

Wonderful sight of wings against the evening sky.

And my second favourites, the black kites (or as my dad called them from his WW2 days in India sh**e hawks).
