Pictures of Billy

Many of you will know that I tend the local war graves, one of which belongs to Billy Clegg-Hill. For years I've gone to give him a tidy up and wondered what he looked like, but to no avail. Until...

A couple of months back I was contacted by a lovely chap called Martin Malcolm, who - long story short - has been commissioned to write a play which Billy will feature in and we've been batting research back and forward. That includes some admittedly blurry but nonetheless brilliant pictures of my Billy himself, from the now defunct Gay Times. I would like to thank him, them and the Bishopsgate Institute for both the info and permission to share some of the pictures here.
