Just the blurb - will post an excerpt on Friday, in the newsletter.

Mild-mannered and unassuming, Miles is on a journey he never expected. After a visit to Greece with his partner, Roger, he begins to experience vivid dreams in which he travels back in history and takes on the role of avenging hero.
Roger notices Miles's newfound bravery during his waking hours and is concerned that his lover is changing into someone he doesn't recognize.
When they discover a gay-friendly café is being plagued by violent thugs, Miles is uncharacteristically determined to take action, no matter the cost. Roger argues it would be both dangerous and pointless to intervene, but Miles insists he's been called to fight an army, and now he's found one.

If you want to know what inspired the story, go to Matt Alber's web site and listen to the track Beotia.

Thank you. Something a wee bitty different. While remaining absolutely Cochranistic. :)

I love the harp - it's not often used in modern songs. I Googled, and found the lyrics. Plus, there's a video.

Goodness, he's gorgeous, isn't he?

It sounds brilliant. I was wondering if Miles had been dreaming of Alexander! What with the Greek illustration and it being partly set in Greece. Hmm.

Alexander crops up a lot in the story, one way or another.

P.S.

He's a lovely lad. I didn't link to that video as it's not his best performance. Have you seen him on youtube - End of the World (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTvJdpkdLiw) is lovely, as is his countertenor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlB3E_OmpT4).

Yes, I love his "End of the World" video. I just found my comment over there! I wasn't sure when I'd discovered Matt, and now I see it was two years ago. I'm pretty sure I posted a journal entry about it. I'm going back to see if I can find it. (I need to tag everything, otherwise it's impossible to find things like this. ;-) )

No, I haven't. I'm not a great listener of music, but I love listening to my favourites every now and then. I should make the effort to get it, though.

I found my entry, and also a link to an interview at Afterelton, where Matt talks about making the "End of the World" video. I'm not sure if you've seen it or not. Link.

You can listen to snippets at his website. I don't know if it's on general release yet - I bought an early download option.

Haven't seen that article, will go there right now. Thank you!
