Promo idea - following the Olympic torch

Kay, Stevie and I came up with a mad idea of following the Olympic torch relay as it happens via a series of blog posts (either as a blog hop or various people posting in one place). Just at drumming up interest stage - if you have GLBTQ stories set in the UK (or you're an author live in the UK) and want to take part, let me know.

Are you thinking of all stories, or a mix of stories & more general posts, 'coz I'm always happy to gush about my local area (Oswestry, Welshpool & Shrewsbury are the closest stops to me) but coming up with something fictional is more of a struggle at the moment...

That would be great. One of the options is writers chatting about the area they live in. Will put you down for that day assuming it hasn't been nabbed. Will produce list at some point this week.

Looking at the website, it's the 30th May & the torch also passes through the area I grew up in on that day so I'll keep my fingers crossed it's not already been claimed!

You know I'm in, with various locations in London and Wessex (and happy to add any gushing/history posts and excerpts concerning Kent, as I grew up there and have stories set there, just not ready for the world yet ;))

That's one of my blank days! I'm sure we can organise for you to take part even if you're not online. Not sure where these posts will end up - I think a central place like the Macaronis or whatever would be good, rather than a blog hop, in which case someone else could post them for you.
