Note change of working title

To avoid clashing with a forthcoming work of the same name, I've a new working title for my part of the trilogy 'Speak its Name'. It's to be known as 'Aftermath' (at least for now...)
The E-book should be out on June 1st; then 4-6 weeks later there'll be a print version. Nearer the time you can order it from Linden Bay or Amazon.

'Aftermath'(working title)
In the aftermath of the Great War, the expectations riding on a generation of young Englishmen are immense; for those who have something to hide those expectations can prove overwhelming.
Edward Easterby is a shy and unpopular first year undergraduate at Cranmer College, Oxford; he might understand his books and chemicals but he's hardly known true friendship, let alone love. When he first sees Hugo Lamont - a well liked and, on the surface, cheerful student - Edward is both envious of the man's social skills and ashamed of finding him so attractive.
Lamont is weighed down by two things he finds awful. One is that he fancies other men, at a time when the expression of such desires is both illegal and socially unacceptable. Hugo finds Easterby fascinating and is torn apart by the conflict between what he wants and what he feels is 'right'. His torment is compounded by a secret in his past which has left him both unable and unwilling to enter into a relationship with someone else.
Will Edward find that time and patience are enough to change Hugo's mind or are the man's fears too deep rooted?
