...because lessons in Love is in the top ten in its genre on Amazon uk. In fact, it's in the top twenty for Books > Fiction > Gay & Lesbian > Fiction General!

I suppose at some point the novelty of all this will wear off. Slap me if I'm getting boring!

Yay!

Meant to say when I was talking to you the other day, Lessons in Love arrived last Friday. Any rumour that I hared out to the letter box the moment the postie drove away is a gross misrepresentation of the truth. :)

Aw, thanks.

I can picture you mugging the poor postie as he tried to get down the street. :)

Isn't it a hoot? We're still talking very small quantities, but I'm like a pig in dirt!

Thank you.

That'll be fine. *slaps you with goldfish*

I already have the eBook, but I want the physical presence of the book in my bookshelf. *sheepish*

Congratulations - you must be thrilled! Have only just started my copy so no spoilers please! ;D

You have inspired me, btw: I am presently attempting an original story set in the old place. As it's fantasy (werewolves! Werewolves in love!) and present day, I hope you will not feel I am stepping on your toes.

No spoliers at all, sweetie.

And no toe stepping at all. Werewolves? I love that idea. Now, I don't know if they're is still taking submissions, but www.queeredfiction.com were looking for just that sort of thing.

Thank you! Actually I had seen the call - but was scared off by what they were asking for. I'm not at all sure I could write credibly about a gay community.

In any case, I am very much a babe in arms when it comes to writing stuff with a view to publication, having submitted only one story to an e magazine (still waiting for the rejection to come through *sigh*)

It's amazing how the Cambridge memories are flooding back now I've started writing!

Glad you'd considered it, anyway. Some of us succumbed *g*.

Cambridge is a place which never really escapes from the memory. One whiff of cork tiles and I'm back at college again!

It doesn't wear off. You just learn not to check every hour, or panic when it drops of the face of the earth for awhile.

can I say it.... I TOLD YOU SO!!!

I'll remember not to panic!

You, my dear are a super star. *gets weepy* You've been with me on this journey from the start, back when I started posting the most appalling fanfics. One day we'll stand on The Round Tower together and watch the mist over Spithead.

Aww! Funny, I can't remember you fics ever being appalling. They started good and got even better, and it's been a pleasure to get to read them. That sounds wonderful, I can't wait to come to England!

I have to say that I'm absolutely gobsmacked (as we also say over here) at how it's doing.
