Nicked this from [livejournal.com profile] julian_griffith.

• What are you currently reading?
Canal Street Gothic by David Thame. If all the short stories are as good as the first, it'll be a treat!

• What did you recently finish reading?
Susan Hill's The Man in the Picture. I like Susan Hill and I liked the story in this one, but I felt the end was both contrived and abrupt.

• What do you think you’ll read next?"
Mary Renault's Mask of Apollo. It's sitting on the bedside table waiting.

'The Mask of Apollo' is my favourite out of all Mary Renault's books, partly because it is about the theatre, partly because it doesn't have a sad ending, partly because I love Nico. It has the most brilliant and moving last sentence that I have ever read.

Keep trying to reply but LJ is eating my answers. Basically wanted to say you've really whetted my apetite.
