I'm enormously grateful to Sara Andrea who seems to have spotted Jonty making an appearance in Promises Made Under Fire. I didn't realise the little toad had sneaked in there.

Also another lovely review: "It was like watching one of those great classic movies where you’re drawn into the story by the setting and the characters alone."

Read it last night. Loved it. Makes sense that the honking horn was Jonty-- Jonty being induced or directed to be in the right place at the right time maybe, as so often before wih him.

I'm sooooo pleased you liked it.

And yes, that's a great point. The old guardian angels working on him and Orlando. *nods*

Should have known that Jonty would be charging around the countryside at the time. I can picture Orlando, with a white knuckle grip on the passenger seat, predicting doom and disaster if Jonty doesn't slow down this instant.

LOL Yes. And then wanting to go back and apologise to Tom. Maybe they were en route to the Old Manor?

I never realised. The little swines obviously live in my head and insist on sneaking into WIPs. I wonder where else they've popped up?

It very well could have been!

OMG! I remember thinking who would be driving in such a frivolous manner...of course, it had to be Jonty!
