there was a classic Graham Norton line.

"The end of this features two girls kissing. If that offends you...grow up."

I am hiding upstairs on the pc while Kev watches it. He thinks it's hilarious. I always thought it was just geopolitics disguised by bad songs!

I lasted four songs. Have got golf on PC. Much less life-sapping.

I went off and looked at houses in the country I can never afford to buy, but that was at least happy-making!

He is a delight and I love the format of his show. I feel like I am visiting with the stars. It is great.

The winning song features a pennywhistle. I feel like I might get some more respect now when I'm playing around town ;)

Wear a suit and they might think it's you. They'll want your autograph!

One of the performances in the "filling in time when people are voting" was a daft bit of panto-like stuff all about Sweden (the hosts.) Apparently the Swedes are just like us - love to queue, restrained, think you're a nutter if you smile at them on public transport etc. They're just better at coping with snow. Anyway, my point... yes, I have one! The song included same sex weddings and two guys kissing, to illustrate their marriage equality laws. That was probably the most fun part of the night actually, the whole Sweden Smorgasbord they called it. :D That and Greece's and Romania's songs (Greece had men in skirts singing about free alcohol, in a somewhat Madness-esque performer. Romania had a countertenor who looked kind of like a vampire.)

Young Ros kept singing the alcohol one. I missed the countertenor. Chizz.

David Beckham for 2014 entry, I say.

I skipped it, in favour of vaguely catching up with some of the other stuff I've recorded this year. I wish we could have the LGBT+ only edited highlights.

Hopefully somebody will have put a 'mixed tape' together of them.

Yes...it was dire, and Bonnie Tyler should give up singing now. Why on Earth must the UK keep digging up singers who are, quite frankly past it. Last year it was Englebert Humperdinck... oh the shame!
Next year....Vince Hill probably. 😳Anyway I liked the winning song with the drummers and I loved the Same-sex kisses. They were the highlights.

Mind you...I thought the Romanian guy was strangely dishy. 😉
