Just sometimes my two lives cross over (well, quite often, really). So, with in the "governors part" of my inbox I found a link to ten rules for taming the tigers, which is just what I needed, as my inner doubts have been shouting loudly the last few weeks.

I rather like "Create disciplines – do the basics brilliantly." I think I could manage that at least.

He sounds brilliant.

I like the bit about time. I know I squander large amounts of it by kidding myself that I'm 'networking' when I'm actually procrastinating.

It's funny how different things work for different people. I couldn't bear to watch more than 30 seconds of that video. Motivational speakers have exactly the opposite effect on me, most of them just infuriate me. But then again, I am a terrible old cynic :}

I have to admit I didn't watch the video (for reasons similar to those you give). But I did like playing pick and mix with his list of ten tips.

PS I'm a terrible old cynic, too. Don't get me started on headteachers...
