Samhain took over Linden Bay at New Year and, after some months of running the two organisations side by side, will now be rebranding Linden Bay.

The Cambridge fellows will be launched/relaunched as Samhain books, a series of seven over the next year or so. (I'll post the timetable when I have it absolutely confirmed.)

There'll be a short while before relaunch when the existing three books will disappear for a while, so if you want print copies of the first two, get them now before they have ten months as e-books only. (The new versions will be re-edited but the changes won't be substantial.)

You know how I said I'd buy Lessons in Desire from the site that was best for you? Would you mind terribly if I didn't? The site is trying to charge me $70+ for shipping and it's only giving me one shipping option...

Want to do the usual, then? I get them (I have an order in) and send one to you?

I'm not sure how it can cost that much - is the book 10 times longer than War and Peace and you didn't tell us? Or is it magically teleported here in seconds? Or does it come with a side of JB2 in a crate? :)

The usual will probably be best. Let me know how much/when/where to send when you know.

I have no idea what logic (lol) or otherwise affects alleged postage rates. I'd want Scott Gill to deliver it in person for that amount.

Will do, sweetie. *mwah*

Question time! :)
Your series is one of my favourite, therefore I would like to have the printed versions - which I've always found far more esthetically satisfying than e-books. Moreover the new covers are really beautiful, and I'm thinking about putting my hands on the paperbacks since they were firstly used. :) So here's my questions: they (the covers) won't change when the books will be relaunched under Samhain, right? Do you know if there will be changes in the format or the size ect? I'd love to have the printed versions of Lessons in Love/in Desire, but I'd also love to have the future books matching the first two. Mh... I don't know if I was clear or not. Hopefully so. ;)

By the way, I just finished reading Lessons in Discovery, how sweet! I love Orlando and Jonty's realtionship, I really do. They always make me feel better. Orlando is just too precious for words *g*. I liked the mystery too, unsolved tragedies occurred in the past and resurfacing in the present is one of my preferred trope in mystery novels. :)

Obviously now I can't wait for next one! ;) (I tried to pace myself while reading LiDis, but I wasn't too successful :P )

Aw, thank you.

As far as I know, the covers will stay (apart from the publisher name). This is the Samhain art and they've already changed the first one to the chair + dead body/Jonty on the floor in ecstacy version. I love these covers.

I can't answer the question about size - don't have any Samhain books to compare them with.

I'm so glad you liked LiDis. Orlando is such a sweetheart at times. Grumpy but still a sweetheart. And I'm glad you liked the mystery - there's another 'old' mystery in the series (although not so old).

Fond regards

Charlie

Hello, I just finished reading Lessons in Desire and wanted to give you my praise for giving us readers such rich and wonderful stories to enjoy. Jonty and Orlando have become one of my most favorite couples, and so I have a question for you. Do you know if Lessons in Discovery will become available in print anytime soon? Although I know the ebook is available, I much prefer my books in print.

I'm very much looking forward to reading more of this beautiful pair of men, and the adventures and troubles that seem to follow them around.

Thank you so much; I'm glad the lads make you happy. And I do like your line about "the adventures and troubles that seem to follow them" - very perceptive.

Unfortunately 'Discovery' won't be in print until 2010 (rough guide to release dates here (http://charliecochrane.livejournal.com/31797.html).
Anything else you need to know, just ask.

:)
