Have been blogging over at Charley Descoteaux's about heroism, and what Jonty and Orlando would have done/be doing if they'd been born in a different era.

I can imagine them bickering away, and being awesome, an all sorts of centuries.

I think we sometimes think of the past as being very serious-- because the silly does not travel well.

I think you have a point. And yet one only has to watch Midsummer Night's Dream (which is very silly) to see that people were just as full of fun.

Back to Marlowe era again. :)
