Basingstoke was alright. At least the little bit I saw, which was a wonderfully vibrant infant school. If only school had been like that when I was a womper.

'Sand' which was in the anthology 'Last Gasp' from the now defunct Noble Romance (what an unvibrant experience that was!) has been given a thorough going over and is now in edits for re-release from MLR.

And more things that make me happy:

Stuffed crab? I want to pat him.

When I heard you were going to Basingstoke my first thought was 'but I thought that place was fictional-- like Finchley.' (That is what comes of being over here reading a steady life-long diet of books from over there!

I will allow that such places must be real. they just sound so improbable.

Not really stuffed. Flowers on wire (old exhibit from battle of Flowers) - dyed hares-tails, I think.

I've been to Finchley. That's real, as well, if as interesting as Basingstoke. Stoke Poges, Nibley, Bucklers Hard, all of them real!
