WWI commemoration - war horses

Princess Anne was in Romsey yesterday to unveil the war horse memorial, in memory of those (human and equine) who served at the local remount depot.

I didn't get to see any of the events, but my youngster did. This 'horse' was magnificent:





We must not forget all who gave their lives, two footed or four.

(And if I can ever work out how to rotate a video, you could see that horse in all his moving glory.)

Those horses look so alive, it's hard to believe they're not living breathing creatures.
