Been a very busy week all round - will try and update with what's been going on, so advance warning of picspam ahead.

Let me start with the rather nice amphitheatre at Caerleon, because the impact of the Romans is still visible on our landscape. Had a lovely time wandering round there on Wednesday!

No wonder, when this first was explored, that people thought they'd found King Arthur's round table.

Went to Caerleon with Mum once, some years back. Fantastic! Did you get into the museum as well?

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Caerwent is supposed to be interesting, too.

Indeed. Small but perfect. We were speculating if anybody would go these days to see people fight to the death and concluded, alas, they would.
