charlie_cochraneI have wanted to read Trent's Last Case, as it's mentioned in my fave murder mystery, "Death at the President's Lodging". Picked up a copy in the Oxfam book shop and am enjoying it greatly, although the old slash goggles are in operation again. The murdered man has a trophy wife (with a distinct touch of 'beard' about her) and has a large collection of beautiful shoes. Hm.
The author, BTW, invented the clerihew, his first one being:
