Sprouts in the kettle! I have never tried that. I fry mine now. But I have totally done asparagus in the coffee pot.

BTW it is so funny to me that you guys associate sprouts with Christmas. I don't think we have a Christmas vegetable over here. (Maybe that weird sweet potato and marshmallow thing...)

I think sprouts in the kettle is tongue in cheek and a bit of a dig at these cookery programmes where they present food weirdly.

Sprouts are partly associated with Christmas because that's the season they're ripe; I think. I could be wrong. Fried sprouts are almost edible. Sweet potato and marshmallow sounds vile.
