Because there are still decent people doing decent things every day

At a time when the news (and some social media sites) is dominated by people treating each other with something far from kindness, I was heartened to see, in a bitterly cold Southampton today, a young couple taking coffees to homeless people. I made a point of telling them that seeing their actions had heartened me.

I know. I could never have done that (too scared, too clumsy) which makes me admire them even more.
